Hello friend!
If you’re reading this, I’m glad you’re here. Whether you’re sitting in the
waiting room for an appointment, taking a study break, on a nice walk,
brushing your teeth, or just curiously scrolling through the media, thanks for
meeting me here. I am over the moon excited to get to share a glimpse of life
with you.
My name is Laurel by the way! I’d hug you through the screen you’re reading or
listening from if I could, but it’s so nice to meet you. A little bit about me—I’m a
21-year-old college student just taking each day as it comes. Loving Jesus more
than the day before, growing with the people that make me better, falling flat
on my face a lot of my days, and doing a little dance in the meantime. I love
telling stories and writing about things that I love, that I have learned through
this journey of life so far, and what God has done or is doing in my life.
So here I am, writing to you!
Consider these words, a letter in the mail addressed specifically to you. TO: MY NEW FRIEND, FROM: ME!
I’d love to write you a letter someday, so stay a while and let’s be friends.
During our time together, I want to meet you for just a few minutes of your day
as if we were sitting in a coffee shop, or going on a walk to catch up. I want to
share some life with you.
Although I can’t hear your words, I want you to maybe write down any thoughts
that come up as you read some prayed-through wisdom and redeemed
experiences. Wherever you are in your life: single, engaged, married, done even
talking about relationships, ready to drop out of school, going through a
breakup, divorced, graduating, failing, processing loss, making a big decision,
numb, exhausted, excited, full of joy, addicted, depressed, anxious, confused,
or trying to understand what you even believe or feel is true.
I want you to hear this, if you remember anything I say at all, friend, you are not alone. There are hard things we will face, but there are people in this world that want
to love you, champion you, and help you. But most importantly, you were created to be loved, know Love, and be changed by Love. I am excited to unpack this Love with you so much more through my story and the stories I get the joy of being a witness to. But for right now, sit in wonder.
I mentioned at the beginning that I would love to write you a letter someday. So
why not? Truly, MM and I would love to hear from you. To start, I’m
curious–what is love to you? Where does love come from? Do you believe you
are loved? Why? Or why not?
Whether it’s your real and honest thoughts, words of encouragement, things
that have been weighing on your heart, or stories you feel led to share, we
genuinely want to hear from YOU!
Friend, I am so eager to unpack all kinds of really incredible stories with such
real truths of who God is and how you and I can get to know Him deeper. I hope
that you will learn more about God's heart after his children, walk in freedom
knowing you’re deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and experience His
unexplainable joy greater and greater with each new day. I’m so glad you’re
here, you are so loved! I look forward to hearing from you.
